XP DEUS II Gold – Gold Prospecting Package
The XP DEUS II Gold takes the advanced DEUS II platform and configures it specifically for natural gold prospecting. Combining XP's Fast Multi-Frequency (FMF®) technology with the specialized HF2 High-Frequency Elliptical Search Coil, the DEUS II Gold is designed for exceptional sensitivity to small nuggets, specimen gold, and other tiny low-conductive targets.
Built for prospectors working difficult terrain, mineralized soils, bedrock, washes, and goldfields, the DEUS II Gold combines extreme sensitivity with the lightweight, wireless design that has made the DEUS platform popular with serious detectorists.
HF2 High-Frequency Gold Prospecting Coil
At the heart of the DEUS II Gold package is XP's specialized HF2 elliptical search coil.
The HF2 is designed to push the DEUS II into much higher frequencies, providing increased sensitivity to extremely small and low-conductive targets.
HF2 Coil Features
-
Approximately 9.5" x 5" elliptical design
-
Fast Multi-Frequency (FMF®) technology
-
High-frequency operation reaching approximately 120 kHz
-
Exceptional sensitivity to very small and low-conductive targets
-
Designed specifically with natural gold prospecting in mind
-
Excellent target separation
-
Compact elliptical shape for working between rocks and obstacles
-
Excellent for searching exposed bedrock and crevices
-
Designed for difficult and highly mineralized ground
-
Lightweight construction
-
Wireless communication with the DEUS II system
-
Rechargeable battery system
The compact elliptical shape makes the HF2 particularly useful in rocky goldfields where a conventional round coil can be difficult to maneuver. It also allows prospectors to carefully work bedrock cracks, exposed surfaces, and tight areas where small nuggets can hide.
Fast Multi-Frequency Technology
The DEUS II Gold uses XP's FMF – Fast Multi-Frequency technology, allowing the detector to process multiple frequencies simultaneously.
Combined with the HF2 coil's expanded high-frequency capabilities, this provides the sensitivity needed for tiny gold while retaining the sophisticated ground handling and target processing of the DEUS II platform.
Designed for Natural Gold
The DEUS II Gold isn't simply a standard DEUS II with different branding. The HF2 coil significantly expands the detector's capabilities when searching for small natural gold.
The high-frequency configuration is particularly suited for:
-
Small gold nuggets
-
Sub-gram gold
-
Specimen gold
-
Gold in exposed bedrock
-
Shallow gold in washes
-
Highly mineralized goldfields
-
Iron-rich ground
-
Tight areas between rocks
-
Small low-conductive targets
Waterproof & Underwater Capable
The DEUS II platform isn't limited to dry-land detecting. The DEUS II remote control is waterproof to 66 ft (20 m), and the search coil is designed for underwater use.
When detecting with the coil submerged, XP's underwater antenna system is required to maintain communication between the search coil and remote control, as wireless signals do not effectively travel through water.
This gives the DEUS II Gold additional versatility for searching rivers, creeks, swimming areas, shorelines, and underwater locations when properly configured with XP's underwater accessories.
Note: The included WSA ST wireless headphones are not intended for submerged underwater use. Appropriate XP underwater audio equipment is required for diving or fully submerged detecting.
DEUS II Remote Control
The package includes the full XP DEUS II Remote Control, providing access to advanced settings, detecting programs, target identification, ground controls, audio adjustments, and frequency options.
The remote is:
-
Waterproof to 66 ft (20 m)
-
Fully wireless on land
-
Rechargeable
-
Backlit
-
Highly customizable
-
Firmware updateable
-
Removable from the detector shaft
Gold Prospecting Programs & Ground Control
The DEUS II platform provides extensive control for difficult ground conditions encountered while prospecting.
Its Gold Field-oriented operation is designed to respond differently than traditional coin discrimination programs, allowing prospectors to hear subtle targets while maintaining control in mineralized soil.
Advanced ground settings allow experienced prospectors to tune the detector around changing mineralization and hot rocks rather than relying solely on conventional discrimination.
WSA ST Wireless Stereo Headphones
The DEUS II Gold package includes XP's WSA ST wireless stereo headphones, providing fast wireless audio communication with the detector.
Clear, responsive audio is especially important when prospecting because extremely small or deep nuggets may produce only subtle target responses.
WSA ST Features
-
Wireless XP audio
-
Stereo sound
-
Fast target response
-
Rechargeable battery
-
Lightweight construction
-
Comfortable design for extended detecting
-
Designed for integration with the DEUS II system
Lightweight & Fully Wireless Design
One of the biggest advantages of the XP platform is the lack of conventional cables running between the coil, control box, and headphones during normal land detecting.
The coil, remote control, and headphones communicate wirelessly, resulting in an exceptionally clean and lightweight detector.
This is especially valuable when prospecting steep hillsides, rocky washes, brush-covered terrain, and remote goldfields where a heavy detector can become tiring after several hours.

Why Choose the DEUS II Gold?
The DEUS II Gold is designed for prospectors who want the sensitivity of a dedicated high-frequency gold machine without giving up the advanced technology and versatility of the DEUS II platform.
The HF2 coil's ability to operate at frequencies reaching approximately 120 kHz provides exceptional sensitivity to tiny targets, while XP's sophisticated ground handling helps make that sensitivity usable in the mineralized environments where natural gold is commonly found.
Its compact elliptical coil also makes it particularly well suited for carefully detecting exposed bedrock, cracks, rocky hillsides, washes, and other areas where small gold tends to accumulate.
More Than Just a Gold Detector
Although this configuration is optimized for prospecting, you're still getting the DEUS II platform.
That means the detector can also be used for coins, jewelry, relics, beach hunting, and general treasure hunting. Additional compatible DEUS II coils can further expand the detector's capabilities for other types of detecting.
For someone who primarily wants to prospect for natural gold but also wants a premium all-purpose detector, the DEUS II Gold offers an exceptionally versatile combination.
High-frequency gold sensitivity. Advanced FMF technology. 66-foot waterproof capability. Ultra-light wireless design. The XP DEUS II Gold is built for prospectors chasing the smallest signals in the toughest ground.
