Known for its sensitivity to small gold and ability to perform in difficult ground conditions, the SDC 2300 is an excellent choice for prospectors who want a serious gold detector for a day trip, weekend hunt, or an opportunity to try the machine before purchasing one.

Rental Rate & Security Deposit

Daily Rental Rate: $200 per day

Refundable Security Deposit: $2,500

IMPORTANT: The $2,500 price charged at checkout is the refundable security deposit — it is NOT the daily rental price.

Applicable rental charges are deducted from your security deposit when the detector is returned. The remaining deposit balance is refunded after the equipment has been returned and inspected, provided no additional amounts are owed.

Your first rental day covers the first 24 hours from your actual pickup time. Each additional 24-hour rental period is charged as an additional day.

A one-hour grace period is provided for returns. Returns beyond the grace period may result in an additional $200 daily rental charge.

Local Pickup & Return Only

This detector is available for local pickup and return only. Shipping is not available.

A valid California government-issued photo ID and major credit card are required.

The $2,500 security deposit must be paid by credit card. Debit cards, prepaid cards, gift cards, and third-party credit cards are not accepted for the security deposit.

The physical credit card used to pay the security deposit must be presented at pickup, and the name on the card must match the renter's government-issued photo ID. The verified cardholder must be present, sign the rental agreement, and personally take possession of the detector.

The detector will not be released if the cardholder, credit card, or identification cannot be verified.

Rental Equipment Responsibility

The renter is responsible for the Minelab SDC 2300 and all included equipment while it is in their possession. The detector and accessories must be returned in the condition in which they were provided, excluding reasonable wear from normal and proper use.

The renter is financially responsible for loss, theft, destruction, missing equipment or accessories, and damage beyond ordinary wear.

The $2,500 security deposit does not limit the renter's financial responsibility. If repair or replacement costs exceed the deposit, the renter remains responsible for the remaining balance in accordance with the rental agreement.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup may be subject to a $25 cancellation fee. No-shows may be charged up to one full rental day ($200).

Rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance is permitted at no charge, subject to availability. A one-time weather-related rescheduling may also be permitted when conditions make detecting impractical.

Rental Agreement Required

All Minelab SDC 2300 rentals are subject to the Heritage Gold Rush Metal Detector Rental Agreement. The renter must review and sign the rental agreement before taking possession of the detector.
