Heritage Gold Rush provides professional metal detecting and lost-item recovery services throughout much of Central and Northern California.

Whether you've lost a wedding ring in your backyard, jewelry at a park, or another valuable metal object somewhere outdoors, we use professional metal detecting equipment and years of field experience to give you the best reasonable opportunity of recovering it.

What We Can Search For

Our recovery service is intended for metal objects that have been accidentally lost and whose approximate location can be reasonably identified.

Common recovery requests include wedding and engagement rings, jewelry, keys, watches, sentimental items, tools, and other valuable metal objects.

The more information you can provide about where, when, and how the item was lost, the better we can evaluate the search before arriving.

Where We Search

Our standard recovery service is currently limited to land-based searches.

This may include yards, parks, beaches, fields, open ground, and other locations where metal detecting and recovery are legally permitted and appropriate permission can be obtained.

Heritage Gold Rush is based in the Sacramento area and provides recovery services throughout much of Central and Northern California.

Simple & Transparent Pricing

Our recovery service is priced based on a call-out fee plus the amount of time spent searching.

Local Call-Out Fee — $100

The $100 local call-out fee covers consultation and preparation, equipment deployment, and travel to an approved location within our normal local service area.

The $100 payment made through this listing covers your call-out fee and secures the scheduled recovery service.

Search Fee — $75 Per Hour

Search time is billed at $75 per hour with a one-hour minimum.

Additional search time is billed in full one-hour increments. Any portion of an additional hour is billed as a full hour.

This means the minimum total cost of a local recovery service is $175, consisting of the $100 local call-out fee plus the first hour of search time.

Up to 1 Hour — $175 Total
More than 1 Hour, up to 2 Hours — $250 Total
More than 2 Hours, up to 3 Hours — $325 Total
More than 3 Hours, up to 4 Hours — $400 Total

The search-time clock begins when the search begins at the location, not when Heritage Gold Rush begins traveling to you.

Additional Travel

The standard $100 call-out fee applies to locations within our normal local service area.

Heritage Gold Rush also provides recovery services throughout much of Central and Northern California. Searches requiring significant additional travel may be subject to an additional travel charge.

Any additional travel costs will be quoted and agreed upon before your search is scheduled.

There will be no unexpected travel charges added after the search.

How Payment Works

The $100 paid through this listing covers your local call-out fee and serves as your booking deposit.

Search time is billed separately at $75 per hour with a one-hour minimum and is due upon completion of the service.

For local searches, the minimum total service cost is $175, even if the lost item is recovered in less than one hour.

Additional search time is charged in full one-hour increments. Any previously agreed-upon travel charges will also be due upon completion of the service.

Recovery Is Never Guaranteed

Payment is for the professional search service and is not contingent upon recovery of the lost item.

Our goal is always to locate your property as efficiently as possible. In some situations, an item may be recovered very quickly. Other searches may require considerably more time or may ultimately be unsuccessful.

Success can be affected by the accuracy of the reported loss location, size and composition of the object, depth, terrain, ground conditions, interference from other metal objects, whether the item has been moved since it was lost, and other circumstances outside our control.

For these reasons, Heritage Gold Rush cannot guarantee that a lost item will be recovered.

The call-out fee, applicable search-time charges, and any previously agreed-upon travel expenses remain due regardless of whether the item is ultimately located.

No Percentage or Recovery Fee

Heritage Gold Rush does not charge a percentage of the value of your recovered property.

Whether we're searching for a sentimental wedding ring, an expensive piece of jewelry, or another valuable object, our professional service rates remain the same.

Any gratuity or reward offered following a successful recovery is entirely optional and is never required as part of our service.

Before We Schedule Your Search

The information you provide before the search can make a significant difference.

When contacting Heritage Gold Rush, please tell us what was lost, approximately when it was lost, where it was lost, how you believe it was lost, and the approximate size of the area where it may be located.

Photos, maps, dropped pins, or marked locations can be extremely helpful.

If possible, avoid unnecessarily disturbing the area before we arrive. Make note of landmarks or other details that can help reconstruct where you were when the item disappeared.

Property Access & Permission

The customer is responsible for ensuring that the requested search can legally be conducted at the location.

For privately owned property, permission from the property owner may be required before Heritage Gold Rush can perform the search.

For parks, beaches, public property, or other managed lands, applicable metal detecting and recovery regulations must be followed.

Heritage Gold Rush reserves the right to decline or discontinue a search when access, ownership, safety, legality, or permission cannot reasonably be established.

Heritage Gold Rush is headquartered in the Sacramento, California area.

Recovery services are available throughout much of Central and Northern California depending on scheduling and travel requirements.

Local searches are covered by the standard $100 call-out fee.

If you're located a significant distance from Sacramento, contact us with your location before booking. We'll let you know whether we're able to perform the search and provide any additional travel costs upfront.
